A Sense of Time - an embossed clock

I combined a Sudsol color challenge (blue, green, and white) and a swap theme of "clocks" in this card - The colors I used were Stampin' Up's marina mist, baja breeze, and pear pizzaz.  All items were current Stampin' Up - Here is a picture of how the card was put together...

After embossing

Patterns Stack In Color pear paper with the embossing folder Elegant Lines, I lightly sanded the raised embossing with the distressing kit to bring out the white.

The pear pizzaz polyester ribbon was then attached to the left side, and then the 1/8" marina mist taffeta ribbon was put over it and a little tie made out of it - I used mini-glue dots to adhere the ribbons in a couple spots.  Then I adhered this layer to the very vanilla card with sticky tape.

I used the scallop diecut #2 and edge the large circle with marina mist ink.  After stamping the clock face with marina mist and embossing itwith clear embossing power, I glue it to the scallop circle with the green multi-Tombo mono glue.  You can see that I then cut the edges off of the clock so it would fit on the right lower corner of the card - this also allowed me to make a hole in the center of the face with my crop-o-dile so I could put a white antique brad in. 

The clock face was then adhered with lots of dimensionals so it would stand out from the card.  As a final touch, I colored the word  "time" from the Sense of Time stamp set with the always artichoke pen and stamped it at the bottom.

Don't you think this was a good idea to place the clock face in the bottom corner so you could see most of the beautiful embossing lines?  The elegant lines embossing folder is sooo pretty, and this stamp set was fun to play with!  If you have any questions or comments, I would love to hear from you!
