Here is the sketch we used, and below is my card - it is made with My Digital Studio, the digital software program by Stampin Up.

The designer paper I used in my card is Timeless Portrait,

Sad dog news - Stormy 2011

I read some sad news today - I briefly "met" this dog while volunteering at a dog agility trial this year at Top Notch Canines....I had gone into the office and saw Stormy sitting in the corner, all quiet, observing, alert, and when I greeted him, he seemed so happy to be acknowledged...Later, when I went back into the office, that little Corgi was still sitting in the corner, and I thought, what a good dog to sitting there in the same place, so I talked to him while doing what I needed to do in the office. Well, I was surprised to see him come slowly towards me, dragging his back legs and tail - Obviously there was something not right with him and meant to ask Debbie, the owner, about him. I never did remember to ask her about him...and then read this heartful and touching message from Debbie on the posts:

Adorable puppy photo card; designer team

Stampin Queens Challenge

I was so excited to be invited to be on my very first design team - the Stampin Queens!  I feel so honored to not only be asked, but excited to be on the team with some other really creative ladies!   And all because I finally got to meet someone whose blog and designs I have been following for about two years....I would have never dreamed that not only would I meet her  IRL in real life, but to have her invite me to be on her design team....!?!  Me?!

Part 2 - large craft room dresser cupboard

Yesterday I shared the start of the makeover for the large dresser cupboard in my craft room.  In these pictures you can see where the textured paintable wallpaper pieces were glued.  Some special glue that you squeeze out of a tube was used to adhere them to the doors - had to get my husband to help me with that since you had to squeeze the thick white glue out of the tubes really hard.  The doors look really pretty with this wallpaper on it.

The larger white dresser cupboard makeover for craft room-part 1

Please make me over too!
The larger white dresser cupboard thing in my craft room felt neglected and wanted a new makeover too, since the little white dresser and smaller white dresser cupboard is being redone for my craft room project...So here it is before I started working on it.
Inside it has a setup for a computer, keyboard, little shelves and filing cabinet. I have been using this for my sewing machine area - I love all the little shelves and drawers in it, so wanted to keep it,
but of course, it didn't match....

White cupboard dresser makeover for craft room

Another item for my craft room that is being redecorated...I am not sure what this is called, but the doors open to reveal shelves and there are drawers under the doors.  I took off the handles to paint them blue (similar to the SU marina mist blue), along with the wooden embellishments that will be going on the front of it.

I call this the cupboard dresser, and I have another one that is bigger, in an orangey type color, that is suppose to be used for your computer, keyboard, and filing.  I am painting the handles and wooden embellishments for that as well, and will be painting it white and crack the paint like the little white dresser I did.

My craft room has a new chair

Isn't this chair so elegant and pretty?  Wouldn't it look perfect in my
craft room (the current ongoing project)?

There's just one problem with it....it's just a miniature version of the chaise lounge chair that was in the movie, Titantic - remember where the girl posed on it for her painting??
So it's actually just a pincushion....lol  The seat lifts up so you can put things in it too.  I love the little pillows and tassel!

A couple of digital scrapbooking pages

These 2 more scrapbooking pages that I made with My Digital Studio. They are some of my favorite pages in the photobook I made for my son's graduation.  Since he likes technology soooo much, I wanted to make this page look abstract-like.

I really like the effect of the the black and white background page, black stamp brushes, and black embellishments.  Kids nowadays have to be super computer literate, and my son started this aspect of his education when he was 3 years old with his 7-year old brother!

When I was going through 18 years of photos to organize and make this digital photobook, it seemed like my son did a lot of water activities - he was like a little fish and could spend hours in the water.  I felt it was important that he know how to swim (which I am not good at), so I had him take several swimming classes at the local YMCA.  We often went to waterparks too, and if there was a beach we could go to, we had to check it out!

When you purchase My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up, you can sign up for their digital software blog.  This is where I found some great scrapbooking page layouts to use for my photobook.

I think the best part of this photobook that my son will really like is the $$ that I will be attaching to the pages!!  Ensures that he has to look at each page too, right?!
I had to show this photobook to some of my friends, and one of them told me I should enter it in the Art Contest - but after this coming weekend's graduation, I won't have it anymore.  Maybe I should make another one for my husband....I see more photo sorting and organizing coming up!

What do you think of my photobook?
Not made for a beginner huh?
So are you going to any graduations this month?

A "new" closet for my craft room!

So here is a picture of the closet doors in my craft room....

See how I put a couple wire shelves in it so I could put a bunch of stuff on them??  After showing my husband quite a few pictures of other ladies' craft rooms (hint, hint), he decided to help me get a nice craft room too!  He is pretty handy with building stuff....

Little white dresser in craft room

This is a little white dresser that I have in my craft room - Since it has glass doors, I put items that I wanted to display in it. Course once they were inside it, even though I could see them, I forgot about them!  It was previously used in the bathroom for towels, etc.

Before pictures of my craft room

I have been unpacking some more of my boxes with my craft items in them....you can see in these pictures that I really put a lot of them in my room....but my room definitely needs work to reorganize and decorate it.

Our furbaby's agility course run and CHANGE

The pretty girl in blue, Jenn Shurkus, had this on her blog -
got me thinking...

And we were so excited to get our furbaby's agility course run video - I was out-of-town at my son's graduation, so my hubby did it with our Inu and had someone professional take the video of it.  Check it out!

We are so proud of our little girl!!

Monkey card, Indian card, dog hybrid card

Finished making a birthday card for my nephew, whose birthday is today - he likes monkeys, so whenever I see some cute monkey stamps, I save them to put together a card for his birthday!

I added the cupcake at the top of these mischevious monkeys,
which was a Stampin Up punch.
