I received a gift of some coordinated and fun stamping products - there were stamps, pad of designer papers, paper flowers, blanks cards and envelopes, and I enjoyed playing with them trying to design some cards with them.  I wanted to use the theme of "inchies" for a swap too!!  So I combined the fun items with some Stampin Up products I had and made 5 cards!  Here is the first card I made.

I made up some "inchies" from different parts of the designer paper, then backed them with the scalloped square.  I ended up with lots of pretty inchies that I mixed and matched to make the cards.

The Stampin Up products I used were the scalloped edge ribbon border, inks, paper doily diecut, ruffled satin ribbon, seam binding ribbon, and pearls.

The final touch were some antique lace flowers that I cut apart and strategically glued on - can you see where?  I also edged the card with the Stampin Up ink and dabbed the ink on the white paper flowers.  I had lots of fun combining my new stamping items with the current and retired Stampin Up products I have - I can't decide which one I like the best!!  Which one is your favorite?

I put a lace doily card project on the right side of my blog that you can make with  the lace doily diecut and the Stampin Up rosette maker.  If you place an order in my online store, I will make one of these cards here just for you - you pick which one you want!!

Wed. is card sketch challenge day #39!

Here is the Stampin Queens card sketch challenge #39 for this week!!
Here is the card I designed using My Digital Studio (Stampin Up) - You can try out My Digital Studio for free -- Just click on the link on the right side of my blog!!

I used the color challenge of Melon mambo and Daffodil delight from Madeline's site (http://ink4uthestudio.ning.com/).  I always have trouble trying to decide what colors to use, and getting ideas from other cardmakers is fun because I find that I use colors I would have never thought to use!!
Thanks Madeline.  And to Cristena for continuing to provide great
card sketch challenges!!

You can join us this week in this card sketch challenge and see some of the other cards the design team has come up with below, at at this link:

So what are you going to do for your card this week??

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mothers' Day to all of you who are mothers to humans or pets!
This is what I sent my mother....she loved them!
Since her birthday was this week, I also sent her a handmade birthday card and this perpetual birthday calendar:

Well, this is what it looked like before I embellished it!
Here is what the front of it looked like after I decorated
and stamped it: (thanks to Diana!!)

I had to decorate the November page up special like...because you know that is the month of my birthday!

So what did you do to celebrate Mothers' Day?

We are going to be a spectator at a nearby dog agility competition, as our Inu (furbaby) takes private and group lessons with her....we have been taking lessons from Anita ever since Inu was 5 months old and she just loves her!  We do too!

I am loving taking private lessons from her but it is more work physically and mentally than I could think even having seen it since my hubby started off with being Inu's handler!  I just want to keep it fun for both me and Inu, since Inu does much better when it's fun....
don't we all?

Happy Mother's Day!
