Card sketch week #34

Another week has arrived for the Stampin Queens card sketch challenge!
This is the card sketch #34.

This is my card - the Stampin Up colors I used were pool party, white, and poppy parade.  I made this card with My Digital Studio and used a few new digital stamps I bought and instantly downloaded.

Here are a few cards of what the other design team members did:

If you go to the website here:

You can see more of the design team's card and join in this weeks card sketch challenge as well!

Since I had just done a blog post on the new Summer Smooches, I had to share this beautiful card that Erica submitted in last week's card sketch challenge - She used the elegant fabric brads from Summer Smooches and the daffodil ribbon.  She also used the striped embossing folder from Stampin Up to create a checked look - very very pretty!  The Stampin Up embossing folders are a lot of fun to play with and only cost $7.95 each.  They are really great to use on a My Digital Studio card after you have printed it out too!

Happy stamping!!

Smooches are too good to not share!

Just look at all those colorful smooches!  Summer smooches designer series papers that is - and they are all reversible!!  You can have them all right now, and not have to wait until the new Stampin Up catalog comes out in June, get them in my online store!

And look at the beautiful fabric brads that match:

Aren't they elegant?!  You can even buy Summer Smooches in fabric!
There is a matching stamp set to Summer Smooches - but it's not called Summer Smooches so don't try to look for a stamp set by that name lol.  The stamp set is called Bright Blossoms.

You can have it all even sooner - right now if you are into digital/computer stuff, like making your own designs and printing them off, because there is a whole digital kit of Summer Smooches.  You get everything in this set that I just showed you!!

There is even a digital scrapbooking set with templates to make a whole scrapbook using Summer Smooches - it doesn't get any easier or faster than this, does it?  Because you can get a FREE trial of the digital scrapbooking program My Digital Studio!  Play with it for a whole month before deciding if you want your own or not...I bet you will HAVE to get it once you try it out!!

If you are like me you have lots of pictures on your computer, so with just the Summer Smooches digital kit and scrapbook template set, you can pick out your favorites and whip up a whole scrapbooking book!  Well, it might take a little bit longer because I can guarantee you that once you start playing with the kits and templates you will lose track of time....it is just way too much fun - can't you just see it now, husband/children/dogs wondering when they will get fed, but wait until you show them what you made with Summer Smooches!

You can get any of these fun and colorful Summer Smooches items in my online store:

AND you will get a free card from me!

One more cute  new Stampin Up item I have to show you, is the Petite Purse diecut
that you use in a die cutter...
Now wouldn't these look cute in the Summer Smooches paper, hanging over your fireplace mantel?!  Or if you don't have one, how about over your kitchen sink/window or at the front door?

Summer Smooches, here we come!

Craft room progress pictures!

I have finally gotten my craft room (that will double as a guest bedroom) to the point where enough of my crafting stuff is in it, the desk and shelves put up, so that last week I put together some cards at my new desk!  Here is my furbaby Inu loving it - she always likes to sit by me when I craft.

I got a glass desk that I love - it really brightens up the room and gives the illusion of lots of space and room!
Below is a picture of what it looked like in the catalog:

Such a difference in having a setup you like crafting in - here is what my desk area in the living room looked like - it was a door
with a tablecloth on it:

And see the difference?   I feel so much more organized when
I sit at my desk....:-)
Here are some more pictures of my room - although it is still an ongoing project in organizing everything that is still in our bedroom.  I decided to do what those room redesigners do on tv; they take everything out of the room and figure out where everything goes, and then put it all back in! Here are the shelves going into the room that my husband put together for me:

I just love filling shelves up!  See I started playing with them already, and stuff got moved around from the glass cabinets to the shelves
and back again....

And I even got the curtains up in my room - remember the tulle
curtains I bought from IKEA?

Here's what I did with them and the blue and white waterfall curtains (actually the curtains' colors are like Stampin Up's marina mist lol)

That's a light grey satin ribbon and bow behind the tulle poufy flower.  My colors are shades of light/pale blues, pool party (another Stampin Up color), so saffron (pale yellow/Stampin Up) and grey.

I used 2 of the tulle curtains over the window and then 2 of them
were draped over my shelves.
I wanted to incorporate the shabby chic look, since my room isn't real big; the light colors and glass make it feel bigger.

Here's how my room looked before in June 2010,
then 18 months later in December 2011!

And here are some more pics of  what happened to the rest of
the room this year:

And the white wire shelves that were in our bedroom got transformed...They became my "store" shelf of Stampin Up catalogs, order blanks, etc.

I still have some piles of crafting stuff to clean out and organize both in the middle of my craft room, on top of one of the cupboards, the closet, our bedroom, but at least I have a place where I can sit and enjoy crafting with my Inu!!

Cards for a swap!

I wanted to share a couple cards I made for a swap last week; the theme was Stripes - You can see the Stampin Up designer paper I used is striped and from the Everyday Enchantment paper set.

In looking at my pictures I noticed you can't see the striped embossing I also put on the white cardstock!  ugh.  I made up a couple more cards based on this neat technique of using the blossom punch to make cutouts in the paper and then overlay it on the striped paper.

I didn't notice that my pictures weren't real clear because I was distracted playing with my new glass table - It was my first time actually making a card on my new table in my craft room
(still a work in progress but at least I can use it!).
Isn't this cool how the cards are reflected in the glass??

So I played with the lighting and different angles to see if this might be a good spot to take pictures of....BTW, the Everyday Enchantment designer paper was one of the free products you could earn from the Saleabrations catalog that just ended on March 31.  I also got the organdy ribbons and brads that matched it and used them on my cards.

The triple layer punch was used to punch out matching flowers and then scattered on the card fronts.  I will be posting a tutorial on how these cards were made.  And if you missed the opportunity to get some of this pretty paper and matching embellishments, you can get the non-striped shabby chic card free if you purchase $20 from my online store!  http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/marynoble/

Here is my sweet furbaby, she's a momma's girl and follows me all over, like some of your dogs do!  In this picture she looks bigger than her 19 lbs!  I have started doing dog agility with her as I took over being her handler from my husband in Jan.  My Inu was trained but I wasn't, so now I have to catch up to her!  When I do something right, she does just what she is suppose to do....we take weekly private and group lessons and go to practice at the nearby doggy gym a couple times a week.

Yeah, you heard me right, a doggy gym!  We don't pay for fitness gym memberships but we buy a doggy gym membership for our Inu!  I can tell you that watching dog agility classes and lessons is quite different when you're doing them yourself!!  But it makes for fun and special times with my Inu - I had to learn to pick up your feet and run/jog once in a while!   Having really good footwear is important too.

Here is my new glass table that I made these cards on, all set up in front of the window in my craft room!  I am still working on organizing it and cleaning out and sorting stuff, but now it is more fun.  I'll be posting some before and after pictures!!  Well, actually they will be after-but-still-being-organized pictures!!

I almost forget to mention that Stampin Up is having a special sneak peek and buy on the Summer Smooches design items that will be in the new catalog this month.  Two of the items you can only get this month, and like the Saleabration items, once they are gone, you won't be able to get them.  Gee, I wonder what they do with all those items that they might have left over??  Hop over to my online store and see these cute products, OK?  http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/marynoble/

Don't you just love that name, Summer Smooches??!!
Just makes you smile to even say it...:-)
