"Tropical" Stampin' Up card from hot Arizona & scraps


Oh yes it still hot here in Arizona during monsoon season and we can't wait for it to cool down a little bit more!  Basically we plan to do as much as we can outside when it is "cooler," that is, mornings and later at night - "cooler" means under 100 degrees!  lol  When you walk your furbabies, you have to check the hotness of the sidewalks and streets too, look for shade if during the day, and walk on the grass - just sprinkled wet grass is nice for doggy paws!  So this card guts challenge with alligators fit right in with our hot tropical-like weather, and that is how I decided what other items to put on my card:

Right now Stampin' Up's reversible designer series paper, Tropical Escape, has a tropical theme on one side, and the various leaves were perfect to cut out and shape on my card.  Also strips of the alligator paper from the Animal Expedition papers fit right in - I love using up scraps of my paper so I don't have to throw them away!
