Happy New Year! Christmas in Arizona

Hope you had a great Christmas! (picture of Arizona christmas cactus!)

Here are a couple of the flowers I gave as gifts; I like to give flowers as most people love them - I know I do!  Can you believe that 2018 is almost over?  As usual, I failed to get any Christmas cards out, and since this is my usual pattern, I decided to start a new tradition.  This year I made New Year's cards and actually got them mailed this week.  I also enclosed my annual mini-calendar with them - I was so proud of myself for coming up with this new idea and actually getting it done lol.
Here are a few pictures of my mini-calendar, which was a "matchbox" style calendar, so it can be hung open if left open, or closed, and put into a purse, wallet, or left by a computer, laptop, etc.

This matchbook calendar was fun and quick to make - I used Stampin' Up's copper paper, star punch, and thinlits dies (snowfall), as well as red rhinestones.  For the Happy New Year's card, I used Stampin' Up's designer paper, glimmer paper, candy cane & bow punch, and you may recognize the Snoopy picture I printed off (love dogs and Charlie Brown/Snoopy).  The card and calendar were adhered to Stampin' Up's gold foiled cards and tucked into the matching gold foiled envelopes. Super easy and fancy!  You can get many of these items in my online Stampin' Up store:http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/marynoble/

Pictures of my Happy New Year's card:

Can you see the gold ink I put on Snoopy's nose?!  That is a gold pen...

I did make quite a few Christmas cookies, most of which were also given as gifts....however, we are enjoying the last few leftover cookies ourselves!  Since my family is on the opposite coast, I had to get their gifts ready in advance and mailed them out, or ordered them online.

How did your Christmas go?  And what are your plans for New Year's Eve?  Of course, our plans include watching the ball drop on TV!  Hope you have a great one!
