Last of the holiday decorations & lights

Hope you have been having a great holiday season thus far, and the last of the holidays as well as the new year are just around the corner....already!  So I thought I would share the pictures of our holiday lights and decorations, with a little help from our 2 furbabies, Inu and Tootsi.  They are some of our inspiration for our outside lights.  We live in Arizona where there is no snow and we don't miss it after 40+ years on the east coast, and it definitely makes it more pleasant putting up and taking down the outside decorations!!

We have 3 large dog light up lawn ornaments as well as a new addition at the top of Snoopy.  That is our indoor tree which we decided to put outside this year....since I am a crafter, of course I don't have traditional Christmas colors - my colors are purple and blue!

Here is our decorated front gate - can you see Inu peeking through it?

Here Inu and Tootsi are standing by the lawn dog ornaments that they inspired....pretty good girls to stand still long enough for me to take several photos, and without any treats either!

Inu:

Tootsi (doesn't like that big dog next to her lol):

Here are our Aflac ducks, large and small,  that we collect every year.  We would need a couple of shelves to display them all together if we did that!

What did Santa bring you and your furbabies?!

A little calendar card

Hope you had a great Christmas and lots of Christmasy type food!  One of the fun little gifts I like to make are calendar cards....here is one of them, which is based on Diana's calendar cards we made in  our Stampin' Up demonstrators' Christmas party.  That's another one of the benefits you get if you join my group of Stampin' Up demonstrators - parties, get-togethers, and fun!

Here are some more pictures of this calendar card:

I find that when I can't actually touch a project like this, it really helps to have lots of photos to view, from different angles.  Here is a view of the underside of the calendar card so you can see how this piece of cardstock is pleated and attached so the card stands up.

Just a reminder that the Stampin' Up holiday catalog ends soon, as well as the super sale.  With the new year just around the corner, there will be a new Occasions catalog and the Sale A Bration where you can earn free products with your order!  I will be posting the other cute calendar cards I made with stamps and paper from them soon...

You can view everything in my online Stampin' Up store and place your order there as well as purchase/subscribe to the Paper Pumpkin monthly kits:

Sneak Peek and something sweet - a quick tip

I participated in a couple Stampin' Up demonstrator parties recently and also exchanged swaps with products from the upcoming Stampin' Up Occasions catalog on January 4th...(you can do fun events like these if you join Stampin' Up with me! http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/marynoble/).

I used a stamp set called Cool Treats and it was a yummy set!!  Here is my card:

This stamp set reminded me of when my sister and I were young and the ice cream truck would come around and of course, as soon as we heard the truck's music coming, we would immediately ask our mom if we could buy some ice cream!  She would let us get one of those double popsicles so we could share it (naturally we each wanted to have one whole one for ourselves)....And that was my inspiration for my card.  My fave flavors from that ice cream truck were the white 7up, yellow banana, and brown root beer.  Cool treats stamp set that will be available in the 2017 Occasions catalog also has a matching framelits to cut out each of the stamps - which means less fussy cutting and much faster!

The papers I used for my card were from the upcoming Occasions (the green polka dots and popsicles) and the hot pink is from the current Pop of Pink Stampin' Up designer papers  (Pop of Pink is currently on sale!  And there is matching washi tape too; check it out in my online store http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/marynoble/).  The "COOL" is done in cherry cobbler.

Year-End Closeouts

These colors I got from the Color Throwdown challenge #423 and the "sweet" theme is from the Cards in Envy challenge.

Here is a quick tip for you to trim the end of the paper strip/tag (called a "tail" or "fishtail")  Use a Square Punch to fish tail the end; not only will they be nice and even, they will be fast!

Hope you are doing well with your holiday plans and events!  I am counting down the days so I can get my holiday stuff done lol!!

December blog hop Stampin' Up & Christmas

Welcome to this month’s blog hop with Di's Country Inkers!  Our theme this month is Christmas/New Years.  Here is the card that I came up with, which is a pocket envelope card:

As a subscriber to Stampin’ Up’s Paper Pumpkin monthly kits since they first started, I have seen how they have grown, and how each kit is more and more awesome.  November’s kit is the best yet and I just had to use it to make the Christmas money cards I will give to my sons.

I did use a few additional Stampin' Up items:  soft sky cardstock and ink, silver glimmer paper, silver glitter ribbon, and clear wink of stella (can you see the sparkle on the trees and in the windows from it?)

Paper Pumpkin has a Pinterest page https://www.pinterest.com/paperpumpkin/ with tons of alternate ways you can put together each month’s kit, so it is a good thing you can also purchase refills of the kits if you are a subscriber. The hardest thing to do will be to decide what you want to make with the kit!!  You can sign up for your monthly Paper Pumpkin by visiting https://www.paperpumpkin.com/en-us/sign-up/?demoid=2103050

Paper Pumpkin is a monthly kit that appeals to all types of customers. Seasoned stampers will love the exclusivity of the products and new crafters will get excited about this easy way to try out a new hobby. And, everyone enjoys sitting down to create a project without all the prep work—that’s the magic of Paper Pumpkin!  Every kit comes with an exclusive stamp set to use over and over with at least one Classic Stampin’ Spot with every kit. The colors don’t repeat in a 12-month period, so it’s easy to build a collection of colorful ink.  Every new subscriber receives a clear block (size D) with the first kit to help get started and to use throughout the subscription. It’s an incredible value! In addition to a stamp set an ink spot(s), the kits are packed with supplies many to make awesome projects like cards, home décor, gift packaging, and more. For example, the card kits (6+ per year) always include 8 cards—at least!

You can decide if you want to receive each month’s kit or not and it is super convenient to put together – not to mention fun, and it helps you to learn how to do many new techniques. This is what you get in the November kit:
