August Blog Hop - Summertime!!

Welcome to the August blog hop Summertime with Di's Country Inkers!

You just came from Barb's blog and she always has something special and super creative!
Since I have a niece with an upcoming birthday I choose to design a card for her - she has a quirky and fun personality so I had to come up with something to match!

Now you might wonder how this card fits the summertime theme....there is something on the card that you might find at a beach....

And one of my niece's interests is horses....(hint)

Yep, you are right, it is the little seahorse on the bottom right corner!!

Do you think she will figure this puzzle out?

I thought I was so clever to make the frames around the seahorse and birthday greeting from the middle of the gold foil doily!

And I have been wanting to use this cute koala, so I stamped and cut out a birthday balloon and glued it over the flower he is holding!!  His little striped nose gave me the idea to use different types of stripes...

I added little gold touches throughout as well - the koala has gold eyes, the balloon is colored in gold, there are gold sequins at the top left, and gold sequin trim and ribbon at the bottom.

Lately I have been inspired by the Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack; there are 48 sheets of 12 designs of conveniently sized 6" x 6" double sided papers.  You can get your own pack of this versatile paper in my online store!
