Guts card challenge snowman using PP416 sketch challenge

We did an October card guts this month using a few Stampin' Up items from the new holiday catalog, including an adorable snowman!

Here is the fun holiday christmasy card I made:

The Stampin' Up pretty designer paper used here is from the Under the Mistletoe set and Santa's Workshop (you can cut the snowmen from the paper as all the papers are reversible!).  Other products I used are Softly Falling embossing folder (snow falling, of course!!), thin 1/8" grosgrain lipstick red ribbon, layering square framelits, red rhinestones, and lovely lipstick cardstock.  What was really fun with the red diagonal striped paper is that the white part of it is fuzzy to the touch!

For my card, I used a card sketch #PP416 from the Paper Players, shown below.  It is always inspiring to use a new card design and it sure makes putting a card together much quicker  :-)

You can purchase all of the Stampin' Up products that I used from my online store:

There are quite a few card kit sets that you can buy which makes putting multiple cards together even easier and faster, as well as economical!!
 Of course we are thinking about Christmas coming, right?!

Happy World Card Making Day! A Christmas "guts" card - Stampin' Up holiday catalog

 http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/marynoble/

Happy World Cardmaking day!
Celebrate for an entire week with Stampin' Up!! (Oct. 1 - 7th)  10% off!

Since the Stampin' Up holiday catalog is now available, there are opportunities to play with the new products in it.  One great way to feature these products is with a "guts" card challenge where you receive several parts of a card that uses the new products, and then you arrange them however you want to put together a unique and different card than someone else. This is a fun way to get various ideas for the same products!  If you want to do something like this, just join Stampin' Up in my online store and I will be glad to share this game with you!!

Here is the card I made for our September "guts" card challenge - I focused on a Christmas theme:

I used several new items from the Stampin' Up holiday and annual catalogs:  2 embossing folders, silver and gold sticky-back pearls, mini gold sequin trim, and pearlized doily.  Here are a couple more pictures of this card;

I love how the galvanized cardstock, pearls, and pearlized doily have a subtle sheen to them!  The gorgeous purple paper and greeting are a return of a previous color, blackberry bliss.  You can see and order all of these products as well as those that are 10% off all w eek in my online store:   http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/marynoble/
