Maybe you are like me; you loved dolls and paper dolls when you were a girl....and still love them as an adult! So of course, I have to check out new paper dolls and dolls (I bet you have a collection too, like me)!! Have you seen these new paper doll stamps - Prima? I just couldn't help it and had to buy some.
We tried them out in the stamping group I am in last night. It was a great opportunity to use some of my retired Stampin' Up items: pastels, designer paper, ribbon, and flower trim. Here's my card, and the stamp I used - they are larger than the standard card size so it was a little tricky to do. Did you know you can use your diecut machine's acrylic blocks to mount a stamp on?
Here is a closeup of my paper doll's head.
I sized the card so it would fit inside a long envelope; that will make the post office happy and save me $$ when I mail it.
I sure had fun looking up other designer's paper doll cards and even found pictures of some of the paper dolls I used to play with! I had three sisters who were younger than me, so they inherited playing with those paper dolls! I remember a Shirley Temple paper doll I had and a set called Candy and her Cousins that were some of my favorite. And since my sister and I took ballet, we always had ballet paper dolls and coloring books! What were your favorite paper dolls?
Very cute---I like your color choices. I have this doll stamp too but haven't played with her yet.
