September blog hop with Stampin' Up's new holiday catalog

Welcome to this month’s blog hop with Di's Country Inkers!  Our theme for this blog hop is Stampin’ Up’s new holiday catalog, which just came out today – have you seen it?  Check it out in my online store.

The blog that was before mine was Barb – wasn’t her project great?!  Here is my card using products from the holiday catalog and to celebrate National Sewing Month.

I really like the sewing/needlepoint products (I have been sewing for years) so versatile and fun!  So of course, I had to use the Festive Stitching Thinlits and Warmth & Cheer designer series paper stack which has needlepoint paper in it.

Since the needlepoint paper was in 5 different colors/designs, I narrowed it down to 3 and used these 3 on my card.  And likewise with the Festive Stitching thinlits, it was a challenge to only pick 3 to use – I used 3 different colors of baker’s twine as well.

If you remember and/or liked the sewing lace up cards from your childhood (or maybe grandchild, friend, etc.), you can make your own with this thinlits set.  I swear lacing up the designs is as relaxing as coloring books lol.

These are the other products I used on my card:  Pretty thinlits, gold sequin trim, gold foil, and Santa’s Sleigh stamp set; the baker’s twine was from the Baker’s twine trio pack and Candy Cane Lane baker’s twine.

When you adhere the sewing piece to your card, I found that using the dimensionals work best, due to the slight bumpiness on the reverse side where the twine is bulkier and messy.

I plan on giving this special card to my mother for Christmas – since she is the one who taught me to sew at age 10, I know she will appreciate it!

You can purchase all of the Stampin’ Up products I used in my online store.
If you ever get stuck for a design with your Stampin’ Up projects, just flip through the catalog(s) for awesome great ideas!

The next blog you will hop to is Ellie’s, who is another fellow Arizonian.
Enjoy her fun project, the rest of the bloggers' designs as well, and thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy the new holiday Stampin’ Up catalog too!
