Christmas Eve decorations

Hope you are ready for Christmas, since it is tomorrow!  Fortunately for me, there are a few stores around here that are open 24/7, so I will be heading out to grab a couple more things lol, then come back and wrap gifts....I already sent out some to my sons and mother - here is the cute angel popsicle sticks ornament that I sent to my mom.  Wish I had gotten one for myself, but settled for taking pictures of it...

We also put up our outside lights and decorations - our theme is dogs, of course!  There are 2 white dogs, a red dog, and a Snoopy.

Did you put up outside decorations this year, and/or inside ones?  BTW, there a few new items in the Stampin' Up clearance rack - quantities are limited.

Have a great Christmas Eve and Christmas day!!

Christmas blog hop - a calendar project

The countdown to Christmas has started…Welcome to this month’s blog hop with Di's Country Inkers!  Our blog hop theme this month is Christmas/New Years.

Since I make mini-calendars to enclose with my Christmas cards to my family, I wanted to share that with you...here is my purse calendar for this year:

Here is a picture of what the back of the calendar looks like:

These are the Stampin’ Up products I used:
Scallop tag topper punch (the tag is 2-1/8” x 3-1/4” & folded over at 2-1/8” for flap)
Layering ovals framelits (handle)
Quilted Christmas designer paper 6 x 6
Holly berry builder punch (small bow)
Real red cardstock (back 2-1/8” x 2”)
Rhinestone

The small self-sticking calendar is from Vippies – at www.vippies.com you can find the tutorial I basically used for my purse calendar.  Now I just have to make more of these calendars for my cards ASAP - Good thing they are easy!  I'll just make them up while I watch one of the many Christmas shows on television right now LOL.

You can get all of the Stampin’ Up products I used in my online store:  http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/marynoble/
If you like getting discounts, you could even join Stampin' Up in my online store!!

November blog hop!

It’s that time of the year that seems to go by super fast and has several holidays one right after another, isn’t it?!  Welcome to this month’s blog hop with Di's Country Inkers!  Our blog hop theme this month is Thanksgiving/Thankful/Thank You.  Here is my project:

I love using metallic and copper is my favorite; so when I saw a card by Mike Funke using copper, I just had to “case” it (Copy And Share Everything)!
Besides the copper foil paper, I used black glimmer paper, the garden trellis embossing folder, the leaf punch, copper trim, black rhinestones, and Painted Harvest stamp set (greeting).  The copper foil really reflects the light, so here are a few more pictures of my card:

Happy halloween projects

Happy Halloween!  How was your halloween?  Even though my two sons are grown up and one of them is married, I still send them halloween cards and "treats."  I always had so much fun taking them around trick or treating, and since I could sew, they always got to dress up in whatever they wanted....Sonic the hedgehog, Blues clues, Grim reaper, and Power Ranger were some of the costumes I made for them.  The pumpkin in the previous picture was the first trick-or-treat holder that my youngest son had lol.

Stampin' Up's halloween reversible designer paper, washi tape, and ribbon are perfect for making a halloween card for each of them, as well as wrapping their halloween treats - here are a few pictures of the treats I sent my two sons and daughter-in-law:

Notice the fake spider on a couple of the packages?!!

I would have liked to have dressed up my two furbabies in their costumes, but they wouldn't work out with their harnesses during their walks. So I just put colorful scarves on them - I recently read that dog scarves make a dog more approachable.

I also put up some outside halloween decorations up - purple lights, autumn leaves, lighted pumpkin, scarecrows, scary cat, and witches hat.  Hope you had some halloween candy!

P.S.  You can buy most of the Stampin' Up items I used in my online Stampin' Up store:  http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/marynoble/

Oct. blog hop - October already?!

Welcome to this month’s blog hop with Di's Country Inkers!
Gee, last month just flew by, didn't it?!

Our blog hop theme this month is Halloween or Fall. Being involved with Stampin’ Up made me start making Halloween cards as they always have so many great inspiring ideas and projects. Here is my project:

I used the Spooky Nights designer paper and cat punch from the current holiday catalog, as well as black rhinestone jewels and the vintage crochet trim.

Can you see how I wrapped the trim around my card twice so that it looks like one wide lace trim?

This was a fun card to make, as the Spooky Nights designer paper is double sided and this makes it so versatile!  I used 6 different papers from this set!!

You will want to be sure to look at the new holiday catalog….You can get all of the Stampin’ Up products I used in my online store:  http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/marynoble/

Blog hop with Stampin' Up Holiday catalog!

Welcome to this month’s blog hop with Di's Country Inkers!  Our blog hop theme this month is the new Holiday Catalog, which is now available!  Since I am a dog lover, of course I had to use the Santa Paws stamp set!!  Here is my project:

I fell in love with the limeade color in the current Stampin’ Up In Colors and had to use it for a generic holiday card with Santa Paws….it really catches your eye!

The current issue of the Stampin’ Success (demonstrator’s newsletter) had an article on using glossy cardstock and there were two techniques I wanted to try. Since I couldn’t decide which one to use, I decided to use both, and also cased one of the card designs! (reinkers and water drops; also Old Olive reinker).

You will want to be sure to look at the new holiday catalog….
