Occasions and Sale-a-Bration blog hop and Happy New Year

Happy New year and welcome to Di's Country Inkers' Occasions and Sale-a-Bration blog hop with Stampin' Up!  Since these catalogs come out this week, we wanted to share a few items we made with some of the awesome items in them...If you have just come from Crystal's blog, I'm sure you were thrilled with her project!

Here is the card I made for this blog hop:

Since I had a family emergency and had to make a last-minute flight to Boston (my father passed away while I was here but I did get to "see" him one last time), I knew I wasn't going to bring all my crafting stuff in my suitcase, since there are restrictions and fees on luggage.  So I had already decided to make my card digitally with Stampin' Up's My Digital Studio - it is an excellent tool to have when you need something fast and convenient.

I purchased a few new digital images and instantly had them to use for my card, and designed a card design challenge #125 from Paper Craft Crew - it doesn't get any easier than this if you have My Digital Studio and somewhat familiar with using a computer!!  You can't get the duck, happy birthday to you, or lacy background yet, but you can when the new Stampin' Up Occasions catalog comes out on January 6th.  You can get a free trial of My Digital Studio with preloaded images ready to use in my online store...

Digital downloads I purchased to immediately use:

candid frames
starburst punch

Thanks for stopping in and you can continue your blog hop journey with the ever amazing and awesome Diana Gibbs - she really is quite awesome and so are the rest of the creations and projects in this January blog hop --  what a great way to start the new year!  Have a fresh new year!!

I am in love with the butterfly die cut and can't wait to play with it!

Quite a few ladies have joined in this week's card sketch challenge so be sure to take a look at their cards, or even better, share your own card!

 http://www.papercraftcrew.com/pcccs-123-card-sketch/

Just some things to think about as you play along with us this week
  • You may flip or rotate the card sketch, change or replace the shapes, but please make sure the general layout is recognizable.
  • Share a direct link to your creation, not just your blog, using the InLinkz feature at the end of this post. If InLinkz is down, please add a link with your comment.
  • If you don't have a blog, don't worry!  You can still use inLinkz by linking to your photo posted on a social media site.
  • All members of the Paper Craft Crew Design Team are Stampin' Up! Demonstrators and as such, we LOVE to see a minimum of 3 Stampin' Up! products or stamped images used on your card but don't let that stop you from participating. Whether or not you use Stampin' Up! products on your card, we still want you to participate and know that you are still eligible to be a Featured Artisan.
  • When posting to your blog or other social media, please use keyword PCCCS123.
  • POSTING END TIME:  If you'd like to be considered as one of our Featured Artisans, please be sure to link your project by Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 11:55 PM EST
  • VOTING:  Voting on submissions starts on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 11:55 PM EST.  Voting ends on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 8:00 PM EST.
