Guess I am next on the list of blog hoppers for December's Di's Country INKers!
My Stampin' Up project is something that I always put inside my Christmas cards to my family. Since they are mostly on the east coast and I am on the west coast, I make a 2015 calendar to tuck in with their Christmas card - that way they look at each month and think of me!
This is a faux tent card so that it stands up, and the first six months of the year are on one side, and the other six months are on the reverse side. I like having the pleated paper at the bottom of the calendar because then it is sturdy enough to stand on its own.
I used the gold soiree specialty paper (8-1/2" x 5-1/4") and black cardstock (8-1/2" x 5-1/2") for the base. I got the calendar from the internet by doing a search for calendars; then made it 5" x 4". If you have Stampin' Up's My Digital Studio, you can make your calendar using that...
I also used the gold soiree for the base (4" x 11" and fold in half) and the scored pleats are every 1". The Simply Scored Scoring tool was perfect for the scoring on this project! You want to make sure nothing falls apart, so I used glue dots and red sticky strip.
Also the bone folder helps with ensuring crisp folds!
To embellish the calendar, I used a little flower punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, and the Pearls Basic Jewels.
Hope you enjoyed my mini-calendar card!!
Now you can hop on to the next blogger, Crystal!
Here is the entire list of blog hoppers; it is great to see how it has grown since it started!
