http://www.papercraftcrew.com/pcccs-107-card-sketch/

We arrived back at home after a 2 month long RV trip to the other coast where it was hot and humid.  Sure appreciate the dry weather here and love the sun....it took us 3 days to get everything out of the RV LOL.  Now how long will it take to get caught up on mail, sleep, cleaning, etc., etc.?  Our furbabies are tired too!

So now it's time for some crafting card fun - Only 4 months to Christmas and the new  Stampin' Up holiday catalog comes out on  Aug. 28 - in ONE day, so be sure to check my online store to look at it, OK?

Another creative inspiration idea for you!

Remember in an earlier post I mentioned that if you join with me as a Stampin' Up demonstrator ($99 in my online store) you would get lots of creative inspiration?  Well I wanted to share another great one with you, OK?

It's the MOOD BOARD:  Designers use mood boards to collect and communicate a particular style. They are a visual tool to convey a concept, mood, or feeling. They’re a great way to feel inspired...

Take a look at one of Stampin' Up designers/concept artists' mood board ideas - doesn't it make you want to use pink, coral, and gold together??

"As you can see, our concept art team had a lot of fun creating cards, gift boxes, and home décor based on a mood board. Feel free to use this board as inspiration for something you want to create. And don’t forget to let the world around you be a constant source of inspiration! -- Concept Artists"

Have you missed me?! Still on trip but DIY for you!

Yes I have been MIA....we are still on our RV trip on the east coast and busy, busy, busy!  It is so nice as the weather has been beautiful and green!  You can check out the Stampin' Up current  promos in my online store, but wanted to share a fun DIY with you from Stampin' Up....I'm on a kick with flea market and antiquey type stuff!  I'll try to take a pic of the linens, lace, etc. I got at an antique flea market huge warehouse in Mass.!

DIY: Glass Art
You don’t have to search high and low to find the perfect glassware in just the right colors. A little tinted paint is all it takes.

Breathe new life into old glassware with just a few items: vases or bottles, acrylic paint, and Classic Stampin’ ink. (If you don’t have old glassware, thrift shops and yard sales usually sell glassware for next to nothing!)

How-to:
  • Before you begin, wash your vase and let it dry completely.
  • Mix white acrylic paint with Classic Stampin’ ink. (Cheap acrylic paint will work fine.) The amount of ink you use will depend on how bold you want the color to be. We used four parts paint to one part ink.
  • Pour the tinted paint into the clean vase and slowly roll it around until the inside is completely coated. Turn the vase upside-down for about five minutes so the rest of the paint can drip out.
  • To dry the vase quickly, place it in a cold oven and turn the heat to 325 degrees F/162 degrees C. Bake it for 10 minutes and then turn the heat off and let the vase cool in the oven so it doesn’t crack. You can also let the vase air dry, but that may take a while.
The paint is not waterproof, so make sure you don’t fill the vase with water. But that opens you up to lots of creative options. You can create Designer Series Paper flowers, like we did, that coordinate with the gorgeous, glossy finish of the vase. Make one vase or create an entire set—it’s an inexpensive and easy way to refresh your décor with the Stampin’ Up! colors you love.

Painted Glassware
Lucky Limeade Cardstock; First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper; Melon Mambo, Pool Party, and Summer Starfruit Classic Stampin’ Ink Refills; Blossom Petals and 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punches; white acrylic paint; glassware; floral wire

If want more tutorials like this, join as a demonstrator with me at Stampin' Up for only $99 and I promise you will get lots more to inspire you!!
