Easy to make paper flowers for home decor!

Aren't these paper flowers pretty and realistic?  They are made from tissue paper, or crepe paper, or you could even use those pretty paper doilies that are in Stampin Up's current spring catalog.  This project is from their blog....Here is a closeup of the flowers:

I inserted the picture of the flowers into My Digital Studio (Stampin' Up) and changed the color to island indigo, then made a long card using the picture, stamps, and embellishments.  Can you see the pool party lace doily behind the picture?  That was one of the recent My Digital Studio downloads you can get!  Just scattering the flowers on a table top with some little votive candles would be elegant decor too!  I bet you have a few votive candles or other types of candles around your house that you could recycle...

Here are the Stampin Up supplies needed to make this beautiful and easy project, along with some tissue paper:

- White tissue paper (I know I have lots left over from Christmas and other occasions!  You could even stamp some pretty images on it first)  http://www.stampinup.com/home/blog-post/corporate-blog/2013/01/16/tray-of-flowers

- Floral Frames Framelits Dies
- Stampin’ Spritzer
- Primrose Petals Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill
- Rubbing alcohol

- Stapler

Instructions:
      1.     Cut tissue paper flowers—eight pieces for each flower
2. Lay the die-cut tissue pieces out on a painting surface
3. Fill your empty spritzer bottle with 8–10 drops of Primrose Petals ink.
4. Fill the remainder of the bottle with rubbing alcohol. (Don’t use water!) Alcohol dries quickly and makes this project possible. Don’t substitute!
5. Spritz your shapes with ink until each piece is covered.
6. Allow the tissue paper to dry.
7. Gather eight pieces at a time. Stack on top of each other in a nice little pile and staple the center.
8. Fold each layer one at a time to the center to create the flower.
9. Repeat as many times as you need to create enough flowers for your tray.
10. Find some votives. Fill them with some glitter and add a tea light.

You could add a little shimmer mist (Champagne or White Frost) or use the crepe papers or lace doilies you can get from Stampin Up, don't you think?  In shades of pink and red, these would make great Valentine's Day decorations - hang them around your house and make banners with them!
