Easter Greetings - A digital card for you

I played with Stampin' Up's My Digital Studio to design an Easter card that I could email to family and friends.
This is my final version of it.  Of course I had to use purple, since it is my favorite color!

See the little mouse in the lower right hand corner?  He's a non-Stampin Up design - I had to put him in there since my sister (who will be getting one of my cards) loves House Mouse Designs....I wonder if she will notice it and realize I put it there just for her!?

Below is the first draft of my digital card - it is so much fun playing with the different things you can do with My Digital Studio!  It is very user friendly.
Since I couldn't get the chocolate bunny stamp anymore, I was really glad to be able to get the bunny as a digital stamp!!

Here is a closeup of the text I added as a personal note, lol

Well I'm off to put together an Easter basket - we helped with the neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt activities and games.  I hope some of the pictures I took came out so I can share some here.  Have a nice Easter everybody!

"Dimensional" cards are so much fun

I had fun making lots of cards this past weekend in Diana's class - I love everything about this card....The paper (Love Letters designer series, cherry cobbler cardstock), the pearls on the greeting, the soft shading on the edges, the top note diecut that the polka dot background is cut out of.
And especially love the 3-D dimensional effect - used the pop up dimensionals spots under the greeting and the Eiffel Tower.  Two towers were stamped and one was cut out and adhered on top of the other tower on the oval shape using the pop up dots.
And can you see how the is an opening cut out in the middle of the tower?  Just these 3 simple things really made the card over the top!! Or should I say, at the top?!  lol

Here is a closeup of the 3-D effect of the tower- this technique was easy to do and really neat looking!  I will have to try it with some other stamps - I think either a guy or gal would appreciate a 3-D card.  In fact, I am giving this card to a guy and some of the people who signed the card commented that it was too nice to throw away - and it was a guy who said this!  Now that's a real compliment, don't you think?

Thanks Diana, for showing us how to do it!

3 quick Easter project tutorials posted; doggy Easter basket

It's only one more week until Easter!  Have you got your Easter cards in the mail at least?!  I found the perfect Easter basket for our furbaby!  It even matches the large stuffed dalmation she has - lol.

Of course our furbaby discovered this already because I put it where she could see it!!  I've moved it around a couple times, and now it's high enough that she hasn't seen it (yet).  After I put some doggy Easter treats in it, I'm sure she will have no problem finding it!  :-)

If you need to make up a few quick Easter items, I posted directions for the 3 Easter project kits that I made up for my ladies' stamping group last week.  I did them in pink, light blue, or light green and they could mix and match them, or use the reverse side of the paper...Remember that the Stampin' Up designer series paper is reversible?  I even supplied potpourri that they could put into the little floral cone or carrot.  Everyone seemed to enjoy the petal cone and had fun decorating it - there were some beautiful variations.

If you want to check them out or download them, you can find them on my Tutorials page, OK?

Cupcake cards - for guy or gal

These cupcards were made for a Sudsol challenge using the Stampin' Up colors of peach parfait and/or pumpkin, rich razzleberry, and old olive. Also needed a cupcake card for a swap, so I thought I would try and make a card that could be given to either a guy or a gal...

I used a stamping wheel of cupcakes

Paisley Petals designer series paper is awesomely elegant

For last week's SUDSOL design challenge we were to use Stampin' Up's new designer series paper, Paisley Petals.  I normally am not a "paisley" type of person, but these papers are so beautiful, I was glad to have a reason to play with them!

I had in mind the template I wanted to do and used 3 of the papers for the 3 squares of flowers and the flower on the bottom.

More cards with ladies' group; cool photo of card accidentally discovered

I wanted to share some of the other cards I made with my ladies' group here in our neighborhood, at least while everyone is still here...soon several of them will be going to cooler places for a couple months in the summer.  We made some fancy fold cards with turquoise and blue:

On these cards, the Stampin' Up top note diecut was used on the black card, and other Stampin' Up punches were used:  the oval punches for the greetings and scallop oval circle.  Also the elegant bouquet embossing folder was used on the olive card.

I loved the flower we made - it was rubbed with copper metallic ink,

Our furbaby first "haircut"!

A couple weeks ago I gave our furbaby a bath, and her neighbor dog friend, Truffles, too.
Here is a picture of Truffles just after her bath, still slightly damp.
Today we took both dogs to have their haircut....or would I say furcuts?

Here is Inu after her furcut - they put a little yellow kerchief on her...

Truffles got a pink kerchief!  Gee, the dogs look so different...

Here Inu is telling us all about her first furcut experience....
Seems she wasn't too crazy about the whole thing!

But Truffles is a pro and told Inu she had better get used to it, and that it is much cooler now that it's summer!

Truffles enjoyed posing for her post-furcuts....guess some of her composure rubbed off on Inu.

Already Inu is posing for her pictures again - no way was she gonna let another dog upstage her!

I told Inu she looks much slimmer now and you can see that she has lost 1.5 lbs!  And she smells so fresh and clean too!  After some special petting and a couple treats, Inu said she feels pretty good, and even though she didn't like that we left her there for a couple hours, sure appreciated that she had Truffles' company to help her!

Don't you think the dogs look sleek and chic?!  Gotta love those furbabies!

Mini faux baskets you can make! And double bows too,,,

How cute is this little Easter basket?  A friend of mine designed it and even put together a tutorial for it... ($5) So you can make your own using fabric scraps and ribbon.  It doesn't take much sewing either!!
See the double bows she put on it?
http://gettincraftytogo.weebly.com/advanced-class-tutorials-4.html

She even offers the bow tutorial and template for $3!!
I have several of her tutorials and she gives you great details and all the steps.  Just think, once you have these tutorials, you can make up little baskets for other occasions....If you have seen these baskets at Target, you can save $$ by making your own, right?

Really, they are so easy that she made up 15 of them for her son's birthday party!!

If you want this Springtime Vintage designer fabric by Stampin' Up, I can order it for you - you get 3 designs in the package for $9.95.  They are the extra-wide fat quarter size, and there is designer paper, ribbon, buttons, ribbon flowers, vintage flowers, and stamp sets that match!!  You can see them in the Occasions Mini-Catalog that is available until the end of this month - just click on the side of my page on the catalog picture, OK?

Spring blossoms projects/April promotion and grab bags

Just had to share Stampin' Up's sneak peek Four Frames Set and Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper that were used to create these cards.  I am loving the blue and the designer paper.

You can get the Four Frames Set and Paisley Petal Designer Paper that were used for these cards FREE when you host a qualifying workshop—or buy them from me with a $20 minimum purchase!
These 2 products are only available during the month of April and won't be available again until the annual catalog comes out.

And this is a new item that Stampin' Up is offering - GRAB BAGS - $5, $10, and $15 if you buy one directly from me!  Just look at them here:

Wouldn't it be fun to get one of each?!  Not knowing exactly what is inside and trying to guess before opening - that anticipation is worth it lol.  I remember my brother at Christmas would check out his presents that were under the tree....and by Christmas day he pretty much knew what was inside each of them!!
