Double Rainbow and Stork; Sleepy Owl Cards

I used my adorable owl punch again today; after seeing that movie Legend of the Guardians (it was great!) and all the different and pretty owls in it, I have lots of ideas for owls.  This was for a swap where you can use whatever you want, so I used both Stampin' Up and some of my non-Stampin' Up supplies.  I wanted to use different types of textures to create a scene that you might see on a moonlight walk..
.was inspired by my walk today with our furbaby.  This is the card I came up with - a sleepy owl.  Only had to make 2 swaps. Here are a few pictures I took of the two cards:

Even though they are both exactly the same, with the lighting, glittery cardstock, and angle the card was at, each one looks slightly different than the other, don't they?  The Stampin' Up products I used to make these cards were the Two-step owl punch for owls and little hearts on the owl, the Bird punch for the leaves, and  Rhinestones (small clear one on owl’s heart).  The punches worked well on the cardstock with glitter, the mullberry paper, and corrugated paper - punched them out like butter.
In the picture below, you can see the sparkle in the cardstock and rhinestone on the owl's heart on the card on right much better:
These are the other non-Stampin' Up products I used
(trying to use them up so I can have mostly Stampin' Up):
Circle punch for moon
Corrugated Scrap Pack/Paper Reflections for leaves
Handmade Mulberry Paper/Nicole for owl (it gave the owl some nice furry/fluffy texture)
Mrs. Grossman’s Design Line for brush grass rub-on
Fun in the sun Summer Glitter Matstack/DCWV Inc. for navy sky and orange moon
Bazzill white cardstock
Orange cardstock to adhering white card onto & an orange envelope
Black glitter gel pen for owl’s eyes

Today's walk that was so inspiring was by one of the ponds here - Inu posing for you:

Whoops, that's not what she is suppose to be doing!
Much better Inu!  As we walked down the path alongside the pond, what do we see?  Look closely to the left of the path up ahead - it's a bird that has come out of the water, watching us:
Quietly I tried to get closer - it's a stork!  This was as close as I got before it flew off....gee, is someone gonna have a baby lol?!
It was sprinkling most of the time during our walk, but we got to chat with a neighbor who was walking her cute little white dog Heidi - she noticed this and I had to take some pictures:

Boy am I glad I took Inu for a walk, chatted with our neighbor, that she noticed the rainbow and double rainbow, and I had my cell phone to catch these pictures!

Don't forget to check out the holiday bundle sale that Stampin' Up is having, and mark your calendar for the SUDSOL blog tour on November 3rd.  I will be showing you 3 beautiful shabby chic cards in shades of blue....Hope you had as nice a day as we did!
