Silver & Gold Sleigh Stampin' Up

If you are a crafter, you are already thinking about your Christmas cards!  The new holiday Stampin' Up catalog comes out Sept. 1st and I just had to get the beautifully detailed Santa's Sleigh set - I fell in love with the sleigh and knew it would be perfect in gold and silver.  I love all metallics so the holiday catalog swap I am in was an opportunity to do this...

The Stampin' Up products I used on this card were:

Santa's sleigh stamp set and framelits,
Delightful dijon ink and cardstock,
Presents & pine cones designer paper,
Glimmer gold paper,
Silver foil paper,
Natural trim ribbon with gold,
White mica flakes for snow,
Rhinestones, pearls, and
Sponge dauber.

I am also entering my card in 2 challenges:
Freshly Made Sketches FMS251

and Libby's Theme Challenge WWC82 - Trees

Here are a couple closeup photos of my card:

You can purchase all of the products I used on my sleigh card in my online store...that is, when the new holiday catalog becomes available on September 1st.
So what are your plans for your Christmas crafting so far?

An album for lighthouse lovers

My sister was married last month at the Scituate Lighthouse in Mass. - it was a beautiful setting for their wedding ceremony with gorgeous views and a perfect day!

Since my sister and her new hubby like to visit lighthouses, I had to make a lighthouse scrapbook album for them!  Here are some pics of it - I used a red, white, and blue theme and some of the products used in it were from Stampin' Up!  I was lucky to buy a scrapbook album that had a nautical anchor on the cover and some ribbon with lighthouses and boats on it (they like boats too):

Here are the inside covers:

Since I knew they were going to have the ceremony at the lighthouse, I had a couple months to start collecting the papers, embellishments, etc. for it....Yep, they loved it!

A fall card with copper foil and glimmer paper

August is almost over already, and fall is just around the corner....The upcoming Stampin' Up holiday catalog not only has Christmas products, but fall, Halloween, and Thanksgiving items.  I just made a card with the fall products that I am sharing.  I absolutely love all the copper colored items - it is my favorite metallic color and perfect for fall.

Here are a few more pics of my copper fall card - these items will be in the Stampin' Up holiday catalog available on September 1:

The pumpkin pie glimmer paper under my copper foil tree really makes it pop like it was real metal, don't you think?  You could easily make this card a little fancier too!  The more detailed edgelits and framelits are so much fun to play with. And no more fussy cutting by using the Big Shot with edgelits and framelits!!

Be sure you check back to see the Stampin' Up holiday catalog in my online store on September 1st!

Christmas in....August? Not July?

It's usually Christmas in July that shoppers and crafters know about, but Stampin' Up is doing Christmas in July!  The holiday catalog will be out soon, and Stampin' Up gave us some awesome project pictures we could share from it!

My favorite item has got to be anything with copper in it!  I do love metallics, but copper is what I love best....so really I was really glad to see some products with copper.  Christmas in August will be a fun way to stay cool in the summer.  I'll keep you posted, OK?
