Lighthouse cards

A while ago I posted pictures of the lighthouse album I made for my sister's wedding....recently I finished the rest of her wedding gift, which was sets of lighthouse cards.  Here are some pictures of them:

For the blue cards, I used a retired Stampin' Up set, Coast to Coast (2002).  Since I knew I wanted to make up some lighthouse cards for my sister, I did some online searching to see what I could find for lighthouse stamps....so I was pretty excited to find out that Stampin' Up had a retired stamp set with 4 different lighthouses.  Once I bought the set, I was able to finalize the cards and used some retired Stampin' Up embossing folders on the blue and stamped the lighthouses on designer series paper (Stampin' Up By The Shore) that looked like waves.

The white and off-white cards were embossed with a non-Stampin' Up embossing folder, and the photos were printed on acetate paper, which made them transluscent. I then put silver glimmer paper behind them to make them sparkle.

My sister was getting some cast iron cookware, and when I saw this mini-cast iron pan, I just had to get it for her too!

And I also found this sparkly starfish pin to give to her:

Just wanted to remind you about the clearance rack that Stampin' Up has updated - you can see the items still available in my online store!  http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/marynoble/
