Grand opening Paper Craft

Here is today's card design sketch for the
Grand Opening of Paper Craft Crew!!
No, it's not a Halloween trick but a wonderful TREAT!

Being that purple is my favorite color I found a color combo challenge for it that I  used and made this Stampin Up My Digital Studio card above :-)  Since tomorrow is my birthday, I made a birthday card for myself LOL.  The color challenge I used was wisteria, crumbcake, and white over at http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com/2012/10/jai-141-colour-challenge.html

Tulle, tulle, and more tulle

I was so excited to see that we could now buy tulle from Stampin' Up to use in cardmaking, paper projects, and scrapbooking, to name a few!  Here's more information about the tulle that is in the holiday catalog on page 4 (the page on the left, in the top 2nd row):

Scalloped Tulle Ribbon  ($6.95)
·       Extra-soft tulle ribbon, 3-1/2" (9 cm) wide
·       Approximately 10 yards (9.1 m), 100 percent polyester
·       Available in Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso that coordinate with exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors
·       Use with cardstock, Tag Punches, Lots of Tags Sizzlits Die, Cellophane Bags, and Punches
·       Perfect accents for projects
·       Great for gift wrapping, gift tags, hair bows, and more

#127841          Cherry Cobbler 3-1/2" Scalloped Tulle Ribbon
#127840          Crumb Cake 3-1/2" Scalloped Tulle Ribbon
#127839          Early Espresso 3-1/2" Scalloped Tulle Ribbon

Here are some pictures of the cards I made with the tulle - first a single row of tulle ruffles (that is ruching on the seam binding ribbon over the ruffle)

Then I added another row of tulle ruffles in a different color:

Can you see that I cut a little strip of tulle and tied it on over the ribbon?

You can read more about how I made these cards at:
and

In the Stampin Up holiday catalog, they did the same thing and put the strip of tulle at the top of the tree in this picture frame on page 18:

On this card on page 6 and 7 in the catalog, tulle ruffles were done:
Or you could use the tulle flat (p. 32) or tie it in a bow (pages 14 and back cover) :

You could scrunch it up into a rosette (p. 8):

Or incorporate it into a cool papercraft project (p. 4)

This is a Christmas ornament using the tulle:

And it was on the front cover of the Stampin Up holiday catalog!
Right now it is not known if the tulle will be carried over to sell once the holiday catalog ends, so you will want to get yours now!
