Say Hi to our new furbaby/Inu's new sister!

Here is our new sweet furbaby, Tootsi - she is 3 years old, which is the same age as our furbaby, Inu.  Tootsi is a mini-Australian Shepherd "red" and white with one blue eye and one brown eye.  I posted some pics of her two 8-week old puppies last week.

We picked Tootsi up on Thanksgiving morning with our RV motorcoach - what a wonderful thing to be thankful for!  She sat on the floor between the seats all the way back home...

Okay, we had a tiny bit of water and some doggy kibble too...that
helped make the trip go faster!

Tootsi looks over at Inu, who is in the front seat, since I decided to sit on the couch (the couch has 3 seat belts in it!)

Inu is being the perfect model of calmness.

She shows Tootsi how to chill out!

We spent more time in the RV the next day too and Tootsi got
to try out her new soft doggy mat.

She discovered that the couch was the perfect height to
look out the window.

Tootsi found out that it was a lot more fun to look out the RV window with her new sibling!  They are almost the same size and when we went on our walks today, Inu and Tootsi even walked alongside each other matching their trotting - looking for bunnies!

Shopping on Black Friday!

Today, the biggest shopping day of the year, we did some shopping...did you?  Here is our furbaby, Inu, on her last day as a "single" dog, shopping for doggy items...

We bought some dog items for the new dog we are getting - bed, pillows, and fancy going-out collar.  Inu got one too - here she is modeling it:

And here is an awesome closeup of a pensive Inu....
Hope you had fun shopping!

Stampin Queens weekly card sketch challenge and cards

http://gettincrafty.typepad.com/stampin_queens_sketch_cha/2011/11/sqsc14.html
This week's card sketch challenge at Stampin Queens involved making a card that was turned sideways - I wanted to use some fall colors - and found that Stampin Up's designer paper Paisley Petals had some great papers I could use - here is my card made with My Digital Studio:

I used this picture for my inspiration, which was the Friday Inspiration Challenge (Nov. 18th) on Cristena and Megan's So Stampalicious online stamping classes for Thanksgiving.  You can check out the classes by clicking on the picture of the classes on the left side of my blog.  Lots of fun stuff on the classes!

Here are the cards that the other Stampin Queens' design team came up with for this challenge - aren't they wonderful??

Hope you can stop by and maybe even submit a card!
 Have a great Thanksgiving!!

Cute puppies and a birthday

Isn't this puppy just a cutie?   His name is Casper and he is 7 weeks old.  We went to visit him and his mini-Australian Shephard brother, Panda this week...We will be adopting their mother, Tootsi, this week!

Casper and his brother, Panda, are also part Corgi, and these breeds are smart and fast.  Right now they are just adorable fluffy balls of fur.

You can see that Casper has longer legs than Panda, and
he is interested in everything.

They both found my husband's sneaker toes really yummy to chew on!

Doggy bliss - Is there such a thing as dognip?

I had to share some cute, funny pictures I took on the walk I did this week
with our furbaby, Inu....

There is a big back common yard behind us and there have been times when I can't help but wonder if dognip is growing there - you know, like catnip, but for dogs - ?
But this time I had my cell phone with me so I could take pictures of our dog being silly - she sniffs something really great in the grass and has to roll and frolic in it....

I looked and looked, but I couldn't see anything there that would be so delightful to her - didn't smell anything either.

It sure must be awfully good to a dog though - Inu would sniff it,
dig her nose into it, roll her head in it, then try to roll her whole
body in it LOL.

Card sketch challenge time! Start those Christmas cards...

I have been remiss in posting anything since Nov. 2nd....so to make it up to you, I'm posting all of the great cards that the Stampin Queen's design team did for this week's card sketch challenge!

And here is my card I did using Stampin Up's My Digital Studio.  My awesome son modified the dog photo for me and I just made it black and white....This is our neighbor's dog, Truffles.  She is a cutie!
I am going to print off some of these cards and then decorate and emboss them for a Christmas present for our neighbor - I think she will like that!

All of the design team's cards were really beautiful this week - this was a fun card sketch to work with too.  Hope you might get inspired to join us this week:

Or if you want even more fun, right in the convenience of your own home anytime, you can check out the online card class that Cristena and Megan are doing - So Stampalicious - When you go to this link http://gettincrafty.typepad.com/stampin_queens_sketch_cha/2011/11/sqsc-13.html you can get more info about their online card classes.  It doesn't get any easier to have your own personal instructor!  And saves on time and gas....

Now you can see why I had to post all of this week's cards - just couldn't pick a few - they were all just that good!  http://gettincrafty.typepad.com/stampin_queens_sketch_cha/2011/11/sqsc-13.html

Wednesday is Stampin Queen's card sketch challenge #11 - pool party fever!

Yep, it's Wednesday and time for another challenging card sketch design and play-along at Stampin Queens!  This card sketch is layered!  I found it challenging.!!  Sure glad Inkspirations For You online classes had another fun color challenge:  Pacific point, basic grey, and lucky limeade.  What do you think of my card?  I think it is kinda vintagey...

This was completely done with My Digital Studio and dedicated to a birthday girl today - Claudia!!  Gotta love those Scorpios  :-)

There is a chance to win some blog candy too if you join this week's challenge:  Stampalicious is giving away 2 FREE memberships to their So Stampalicious Thanksgiving /Fall Edition Online Classes!  All you have to do is participate in this weeks challenge using the card sketch above, and like them on Facebook!   Winners will be drawn via Random.org Monday, November 7th @ 5pm PST and posted on Tuesday with the spotlight cards. Winners will be notified via email so make sure that information is made available OK?

In looking at some of the other beautiful cards for this week's challenge I noticed there was a theme of the color pool party (Stampin Up).
Here are the pool party cards, in no particular order lol.

You can see more of the cards for this challenge on the webpage too...So if you've got the pool party fever, design your card and post it on the Stampin Queen's card sketch page and "like" them, and you'll be entered into the drawing for a free online class!
